    When this happens, the server does not abend.  It carries on
    and appears to behave normally.  However there are no further
    messages relating to warning about the structure getting larger
    or about the entry / element ratio needing altering.

Problem summary

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Abend 0c9 is issued by CFDT server      *
    *                      during automatic structure alter.       *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When you are running a CFDT server, a 31 bit division
    instruction is used during automatic structure alteration.
    This can lead to an 0C9 abend if there are a large number of
    elements.
    

Problem conclusion

  • DFHCFCF has been changed to handle large numbers
    of elements.
    

Temporary fix

  • FIX AVAILABLE BY PTF ONLY
