Error description
When a QUIESCE command is issued, the MAS is set as QUIESCING allowing just the routing of work associated with the active affinities. When it is determined that there are no affinities, message EYUWM0423I is issued and the MAS is marked as QUIESCED. Now, to alert any automation tool that a particular MAS is quiescing, a message is required to indicate asap that a QUIESCE command has been issued against a particular MAS. This will not change the behaviour of actual message EYUWM0423I

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICSPlex SM V4R2M0 Users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a quiesce action is issued for a * * CPSM WLM target region, the region may * * no longer be available for routing at * * that time, but message EYUWM0423I is * * not issued for at least 60 seconds past * * that time. It is desirable for a * * message to be issued when the quiesce * * is issued. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this * * APAR, all CMASes must be restarted. Note * * that the restarts do not need to occur at * * the same time. * **************************************************************** When a quiesce action is issued for a CPSM WLM target region, method EYU0WAUO (WAUO) runs in all CMASes which have joined the target region to a workload. WAUO marks the status of the target region as quiescing, which stops all new transactions from being routed to the target region, and then starts method EYU0WMQS to run under a separate task, to determine if any affinties exist for the target region. Since the affinities may be local to other CMASes, WMQS starts a timer for 60 seconds and waits for the timer to expire. Once it does, if there are affinities existing, WMQS resets the timer and waits. When WMQS awakes from a timer wait and finds that all affinites have been deleted, the target region's status is set to quiesced, EYULOG message EYUWM0423I is issued to document that the target region is quiesced, and the WMQS task terminates. Once WAUO marks the target region as quiescing, no work will be routed to the target region unless there is an active affinity for that work. It is desirable for a message to be issued when the quiesce is issued, to indicate that the region is no longer receiving work unless an affinity exists.
