Comments

  • DFHEBF has been changed to replace the DFHIC WAIT with a
threadsafe dispatcher wait. In addition, BIF DEEDIT and BIF
DIGEST commands are now marked as being threadsafe in DFHEIP.
The CICS Transaction Server for z/OS Application Programming
Reference Version 4 Release 1 manual SC34-7159-02 will be
changed to add the following commands to the list of
threadsafe commands in the section "CICS threadsafe commands
in the API" on page 17:-
    BIF DEEDIT
    BIF DIGEST
    DEFINE COUNTER and DEFINE DCOUNTER
    DELETE COUNTER and DELETE DCOUNTER
    GET COUNTER and GET DCOUNTER
    REWIND COUNTER and REWIND DCOUNTER
    UPDATE COUNTER and UPDATE DCOUNTER
Similar changes will be made to "Existing API commands made
threadsafe in this release" in the What's New manual
GC34-7192-02 on page 105 and to "API commands that were made
threadsafe" in the Upgrading from CICS TS Version 2.3" (and 3.1
    and 3.2 versions) manuals GC34-6996-03, GC34-6997-03 and
    GC34-6998-03 on page 15.
