Error description

  • You are running CICS TS 5.1 and have a program running in AMODE
64 that loades and address with the AMODE=31 indicator switched
on and branched to this address using BASR R14,R15. In this
example R15 = 98561AF0. This caused the following message to
    be issued:
DFHSR0001 abend (code 0C4/AKEA) has occurred at offset x'xxx'
    in program.
This was an abend0C4 PIC 3B.
The problem is, when looking at the dump, our error information
reports an 'odd' psw ending in 1, and have turned off the
'amode=31' indicator in the address. The address branched to
was 98561AF0, CICS kernel error reports the psw as:
        PSW: 079D1001 80000000 00000000 18561AF1
    when it should be:
        PSW1..... 07951001 80000000 00000000 98561AF0
    Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s): AMODE 64, KIXREVJJW

    * When looking at the dump, it shows a *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
An AMODE64 assembler program invalidly branches to an address
inside the bar. In the dump, bits 0-31 of the PSW instruction
address are correctly displayed as zeros, but bit 32 is off and
    bit 63 is on.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHKESTX and DFHKEDUF have been changed to display the next
    instruction address correctly.
