Error description

  • RACF APARs OA39486 and OA39987 added new function to the Event
Notification Facility (ENF) code.  This APAR will update CICS to
recognize the new version of the paramter list for the type 71
notification.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An exception occurred due to an         *
*                      unknown version of ENF Event 71         *
*                      received by CICS                        *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
An updated version of ENF Event 71 was introduced by RACF
APAR's OA39486 and OA39987.  This caused CICS to report an
exception trace when processing one of these ENF Events
and the event was ignored.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The processing logic within DFHUSES for handling ENF Events has
been updated to correctly process the new version of ENF 71.
