Error description

  • If there are repeated attempts to acquire an IPIC Connection
that fails, there is a storage leak which can result in a
    DFHSM0133 message.

Trace shows that DFHWBCL is doing an OPEN_SESSION. During the
processing of the OPEN_SESSION, storage is getmained for
WBCMCSBF from the WBGENRAL subpool. If the OPEN_SESSION fails,
then the CISC transaction ends without ever freeing the storage
    it getmained for WBCMCSBF

This results in a storage leak and could eventually lead to an
    SOS should this happened repeatedly.

    ****************************************************************
An IPIC acquire fails because it experiences sockets connect
failure.DFHWBCL open_session is responsible for creating the
web session from client to server, it allocates storage WBCMCSBF
which is used as web session peek header buffer. The code will
not freemain WBCMCSBF storage if its connection fails.
CICS will go into SOS after lots of IPIC acquire failure because
    socket connect fails.
    Addtional Keywords: Short on Storage

Problem conclusion

  • DFHWBCL has been changed to tidy up WBCMCSBF storage after IPIC
    client connecting failure.
