Error description

  • When using CPSM WLM to route transactions to available target
regions, transactions are being routed to a region that has
been set Out-of-Service when they shouldn't. This occurs on an
RZ route where an OPEN failure occurs in DFHAPTC and EYU9XLOP
is notified of the route failure and redriven to choose the
next target. However, the route error code is always set to
IOERR (DYR_IOERR) instead of the exact failure (ie. DYR_ERROUT
for SYSID out of service in this case) and so the target
regions WAOR control block is never updated to indicate the
    system is not in service.

    ****************************************************************
In CPSM, a request is being routed from TOR to AOR. The request
is using request streams by web service context switch.
The request stream use distributed routing exit supply by CPSM
to determine the AOR to route request to. Because the connection
to the target AOR is out of service, the incorrect reason code
DYR_IOERR is returned from request stream code to CPSM routing
exit. This reason code make same AOR selected again by routing
exit and leads to another route failure.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHAPTC and request streams code has been changed to return
dynamic routing exit with DYR_ERROUT while the target routing
    region is out of service.
