* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 0C4 program check in DFHKERKE after a   *
*                      deleted domain gate is called during    *
*                      CICS termination.                       *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
CICS is shutting down and a few CICS domains call DFHKEDG to
delete domain gate information. The address of DFHKERKE is
set in the domain gate table so that when the deleted gate is
called later, abend AKEF is issued to indicate a KERNERROR.
An AMODE(31) bit format address is stored which cannot work
correctly under AMODE(64). So when the deleted gate actually
gets called, DFHKERKE is triggered with an incorrect 64 bit
address as its base register. The 0C4 program check prevents
the expected KERNERROR.

Problem conclusion


    

  • DFHKEDG DELETE_GATE has been changed to store the 64 bit address
format of DFHKERKE into the domain gate table.
