Error description

  • In BR/WB env, EIBAID becomes 00, if:
    *
    1. The input screen specifically has Light Pen coded along with
    other AIDs,
    2. The map is RECEIVE'ed via any AID, ie, PFx, ENTER, LIGHT PEN,
    3. Input data length exceeds 256 bytes,
    .
    The reason for it failing in this case is because one of the
    form values within the failing request is quite long and
    due to this length it causes the name/value pair processing
    logic for lightpen requests to terminate early.
    .
    This early termination leaves the AID set at its initial value
    of x00 which is returned and causes EIBAID to be changed as 00.
    .

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Web Bridge request processing *
    * incorrectly sets EIBAID in lightpen *
    *                      processing.                             *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    A Web request is sent to the Web Bridge that contains a form
    value that is greater than 256 bytes. The Web request is
    determind to require lightpen processing and so enters special
    processing.

    As the forms data is processed, the logic incorrectly processes
    the field of >256 bytes and this causes the forms processing to
    terminate early causing the EIBAID to get set to an
    uninitialised value of x00 instead of the correct value within
    the forms data.

Problem conclusion

  • Updated DFHWBTCC to process forms data correctly when the value
    is greater than 256 bytes.
