The embedded CICS TS 5.1 Liberty JVM server requires an upgrade
to WebSphere Application Server Liberty profile Version 8.5.5.

  • CICS TS 5.1 has been updated to use a Liberty JVM server
that is based on WebSphere Application Server Liberty profile
Version 8.5.5.

This APAR also includes the fixes for PM93014 and PM93016.

The CICS Liberty features have been renamed as follows:
cicsts-1.0         --> cicsts:base-1.0
cicstsSecurity-1.0 --> cicsts:security-1.0
cicstsJdbc-1.0     --> cicsts:jdbc-1.0

The include of cicsSecurity.xml within server.xml is no longer
required.

If -Dcom.ibm.cics.jvmserver.wlp.autoconfigure=false (default)
is used then server.xml will have to be updated manually with
the above changes.

NOTE: This APAR includes additional open source components,
supplied as part of WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5 Base
Liberty Profile, for use with the Program:
 - Apache BCEL;
 - Apache Commons HTTP Client;
 - Jakarta RegExp - Licensed under the Apache License,
   Version 2.0
