PM94099: DFHDS0001 ABEND0C4 IN DFHSJIN USING THE NOTIFY_DELETE_TCB PROCEDURE AFTER AN ABEND4080 AT JVM SHUTDOWN.

Error description

  • You are running with a JVM and the JVM/TCB is being removed
and cleaned up because of inactivity. This action results in a
call to DFHSJIN to perform the removal of the JVM and TCB in
the notify_delete_tcb. As a result of this processing a LE
abend 4080 is triggered. This 4080 abend will be pursued by
Language Environment (LE).

When the 4080 abend happens, CICS enters recovery in
DFHSJIN and a pointer appears to not be correctly addressed.
This results in the DFHDS0001 ABEND0C4.

During SM Task clean up of J8 / J9 TCB's, if an error happens
when the JVM is being shutdown this will cause recovery within
DFHSJIN to be driven.

The variable dfhdsat_ptr is not initialised correctly which can
lead to an 0C4 abend causing DFHDS0001 to be output.
