Error description

  • You are making use of Axis2 in CICS and trying to inject a
Handler into the chain using the annotation for the server:
@HandlerChain(file="http://IBM.com/myhandlers.xml")
This causes the following error messages in the DFHJVMOUT.log
[DFHSJJI.TASK1292.TRAN] ERROR
org.apache.axis2.engine.AxisEngine -
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
HandlerResolverImpl cannot load the following class Throwable
Exception:
Occured:com.ibm.industries.financialservices.iaaxml.StripEmptyTa
gsSOAPHandler
This Axis2 bug has been fixed by apache, but the version of
Axis2 shipped by CICS does not include this fix.

CICS TS for zOS is shipped with a version of the Axis2 web
services engine to process SOAP messages. Various bugs have been
identified and resolved in the Axis2 Apache project and shipped
as version 1.6.2. To access these fixes this version of Axis2
needs to be shipped for CICS TS for zOS.

Problem conclusion

  • The version of Axis2 shipped with CICS TS for zOS has been
replaced with Axis2 version 1.6.2 and associated dependencies.

details of the 1.6.2 release.

This release version will also be documented in the InfoCenter
to allow users to determine what features and functions the
supplied version of Axis2 supports and what identified bugs
have been resolved in the release. New Page Embedded components
will be added to section Conectivity and standards of Reference.


This APAR includes additional open source components supplied
for use with the Program:
  - Apache Axis-2;
  - WS-Commons Neethi, licensed under the Apache License,
    Version 2.0.
