PQ41437: TRANSIENT DATA QUEUE, MSGUSR FILE STOP LOGGING. IESX ABENDLQBP WHEN WRITEQ-TD

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Transient data queue, msgusr file stop logging whenever after a
  LE message logged if CICS default DCT is used with DEVICE=DISK.
  Also IESX may abend LQBP in IESLQBP due to LENGERR when
  WRITE-TD.
  

Local fix

• Modify MSGUSR's DCT entry to have BLKSIZE=183 and omit RECSIZE
  if using DEVICE=DISK. (DCT assemble output shows BLKSIZE=175 and
  RECSIZE=171)

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  CICS supplies a definition for CEEMSG SDSCI for customers who
  may be using LE. PQ23380 has revised the recommended BLKSIZE
  from 165 to 175, to overcome a LENGERR when a WRITEQ TD is
  issued. This APAR was taken to update the CICS
  definition. VSE (Compid 568606601) has taken APAR PQ39970 to
  complete the fix for the reported problem.
  

Problem conclusion

• DFH$DCTD is updated to reflect the change in BLKSIZE introduced
  by LE for SDSCI CEEMSG. The blocksize has been increased from
  165 to 175 although the CICS default destination remains SYSLST.
