PI49474: PROGRAM DETAILS NOT COLLECTED IF APPLICATION COLLECTION IS REQUESTED AND NO APPLICATION CONTEXT EXISTS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• You upgraded to CICS IA 5.2 and activated 'Application Data'
  collection by specifying 'Y' on the CIU210 panel and now
  program detail data is not collected for programs that are not
  part of an application context.  Your CIULOG does not contain
  an CIU3325I messages for the PROG resource type.
  
  CICS TS tracing shows the CICS IA XPCFTCH GLUE program CIUXCCP2
  making a DFHPGISX call and receiving XPI_PGIS_RESP
  APP_CONTEXT_NO_FOUND and bypassing detailed program collection.

Local fix

• Run the CINT transaction and access the region options panel
  for the region where the detailed data for programs is not
  being collected.
  
  On panel CIU290 select option 8 'Application Data' and specify
  'N' on panel CIU210 and refresh the runtime options.

  The rules for PGIS in CICS IA 5.2 and 5.3:
  1. Application = N. Old PGIS is used. Detail is OK.
  2. Application = Y (all applications)
   2.1. Program with application context. New PGIS is used.
        Detail is OK.
   2.2. Program without application context. New PGIS is used.
        Detail fails. => Old PGIS is used. Detail is OK
  3. Application = Y (specific application) New PGIS is used.
     Detail is OK.
  

Problem conclusion

• If Application = Y, but there is no application context the old
  path is used like in the case Application = N.
