Error description

  • The CIUTRANS member in SCIUDAT2 is used in the CIUTLOAD job to
load the static translator entries in the CIU_TRANSLATORS DB2
table for CICS IA.  The CIUTRANS member does not contain an
entry for Enterprise COBOL V6 for 5655EC6.

Local fix

  • Copy the CIUTRANS member from the SCIUDAT2 data set and modify
the CIUTRANS member by inserting an entry for COBOL V6 after
line 22.  Line 22 contains:

"5655W32  ","Enterprise COBOL for z/OS V5.1
     "

Line 23 can be inserted with value:

"5655EC6  ","Enterprise COBOL for z/OS V6.1
     "
Run the CIUTLOAD JCL from SCIUSAMP to reload the
CIU_TRANSLATORS DB2 table.

The hlq.CIU_TRANSLATORS table does not contain an entry for
Enterprise COBOL V6 for 5655EC6.
The CIUTRANS member in SCIUDAT2 is used in the CIUTLOAD job to
load the static translator entries in the hlq.CIU_TRANSLATORS
DB2 table for CICS IA. The CIUTRANS member does not contain an
entry for Enterprise COBOL V6 for 5655EC6.

Problem conclusion

  • An entry for Enterprise COBOL V6 has been added to the CIUTRANS
member in SCIUDAT2.
