PM61892: CIUXCCR1 XRMIOUT GLUE DOES NOT COLLECT DB2 DATA FOR PRE V8 DBRM

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• You installed or upgraded to CICS IA V3.2 and find that you are
  no longer collecting DB2 data for CICS applications
  pre-compiled with the pre-V8 DB2 precompiler.  Your CICS TS
  region CINTLOG shows message CIU2265I with DB2=Y.  You stop or
  pause the collector and you run the the CIUUPBD2 sample job to
  update the CICS IA DB2 tables and STEP020 for CIUU042 completes
  with message text...
  
  "NO DB2 DATA EXTRACTED"
  
  Examining the CIUINT2 VSAM interdependency file confirms no DB2
  records have been saved.
  
  A CICS auxiliary trace was obtained with both the CICS IA High
  level 3 exit tracing and with CICS TS AP, EI, and RI 1-2
  tracing. The trace contains no AP 00C6 USER trace entrires for
  CIU 0148 DB2Start so the CIUXDB2A module was not called for
  collection. Subsequent AP 3181 entries confirm the EXEC SQL
  application parameter list length is x'28' which is for
  application precompiled with pre V8 DB2.  CICS IA XRMIOUT GLUE
  CIUXCCR1 checks the DSNXRDI dsect RDIPLLEN for a length of
  x'0028' and if so bypasses collection.

• Copy CIUXCCR1 from SCIULOAD to a user loadlib and apply the
  following zap.

Problem summary

  CICS IA v. 3.2 does not collects DB2 data for CICS applications
  precompiled with the pre-V8 DB2 precompiler, because branch for
  work with DB2 V7 precompiled programs, was disabled.
  

Problem conclusion

• This PTF reattaches the branch for CICS applications
  precompiled with the V7 DB2 precompiler and resolves
  this problem by such manner.
