PM65709: NO DB2 DATA COLLECTION OCCURS IF TIVOLI OMEGAMON CICS IS ACTIVE

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• No DB2 data collection occurs when running Tivoli Omegamon for
  CICS and monitoring DB2 in the region.  CICS tracing shows the
  DFHLDLDX IDENTIFY_PROGRAM XPI call  receives a response
  INSTANCE_NOT_FOUND which results in the CIUXCCR1 XRMIOUT GLUE
  bypassing the collection. A previous CICS AP 0100 user trace
  entry with OMEG_ENTRY contains the actual application R14
  value. CICS IA needs to be able to co-exist with Omegamon CICS
  DB2 monitoring.

Local fix

• Run the OMEG transaction with the SHUT option to terminate DB2
  monitoring for Omegamon.

  CICS tracing shows the DFHLDLDX IDENTIFY_PROGRAM XPI call

  actual application R14 value.  CICS IA needs to be able to

Problem conclusion

• Code of the CIUXCCR1 has been changed (based on technote
  # 1593318) to find the actual application R14 value before
  calling DFHLDLDX IDENTIFY_PROGRAM XPI when Omegamon is also
  running.
  CICS IA now collects data of DB2/MQ/IMS calls, not with command
  flow feature, when Omegamon runs.
