Error description

  • You may receive the following message when collecting￴
    dependency data for IMS.
DFHAP0701 applid An abend (code 0C4/AKEA) has occurred
in exit program CIUXCCL1 at exit point XDLIPOST.
The failure occurs due to the UIB contaiing residual data. ￴
UIBFCTR is x'08'INVREQ and UIBDLTR is also x'08'FUNCNS. In￴
this case the request was not scheduled and the UIBPCBAL
may be residual. CIUXCCL1 goes to label XDFL2 as the PAPL is￴
for a "GU" function for the CALLDLI. It then proceeds to￴
XDLCONT and the 0C4s at label MVCALL1 as the R3 value from￴
parameter 2 is not addressable due to the failure of the call.
The CIUXCCL1 XDLIPOST GLUE needs to check for the existence of￴
a UIB and then check the UIBFCTR for a zero return code and if￴
not, we should return and not attempt collection from the PAPL￴
as we cannot be sure we can access parameter 2 data which may￴
not have been set by DBCTL.

    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply PTF.                                   *
    ****************************************************************
When the CICS IA interdependency collector collects IMS requests
the ABEND S0C4 can sometimes occurs from CIUXCCL1 module, if it
attempts to read a program name by using the pointer to UIB from
UEPAPLIST, because this pointer is irrelevant at this moment.

Problem conclusion

  • The exit program CIUXCCL1 checks UEPUIBX against UEPUIB1 and
reads a program name by using the pointer to UIB from UEPAPLIST
    if UEPUIBX EQ UEPUIB1 only.
