PM65923: BATCH THREADSAFE REPORT CIUJTSQ2 REPORTS CALLS NON-THREADSAFE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• 1.
  CALLs result in called program taking on the environment of the
  calling program and should not result in a TCB switch. Listing
  them as non- threadsafe is misleading.
  Wth CICS IA V3.2 and CICS TS V4, a new XPI was introduced called
  "Identify Program." This new XPI allows CICS IA to correctly
  map the dynamic call chain without depending on the LE chain.
  The "Identify Program" XPI can be used in CICS TS V3, and CICS
  IA V3.1 will be able to use the "Identify Program" with APAR
  PM46966. Prior to this maintenance - CALLS displayed on the
  Threadsafe report as LOAD's.

  Running the Program Threadsafe report, a field 'Linkedit Date'
  is printed. This field is filled with '01-01-0001' for all
  programs.

  1. 'CALL' command was introduced in CICS IA v3.2 and indicates
     a dynamic COBOLL call. The list of CICS commands that
     are threadsafe (CIU_THREADSAFE_CMD table) does not contain
    'CALL' command because it is not a CICS command.
  
  2. The 'Linkedit Date' column reserved for future use. It can
     be removed from report.
  

Problem conclusion

• 1. Command 'CALL' has been added to the CIU_THREADSAFE_CMD table
     to not mislead.
  2. Code of the CIUNTSQ2 program has been changed to remove
    'Linkedit Date' data from the CICS IA Threadsafe report.
