    ****************************************************************
When any of the TASK or PROGRAM actions is issued (with the
exception of DISCARD PROGRAM), method EYU0NSTK (NSTK - TASK) or
EYU0NSPG (NSPG - PROGRAM) is called in the MAS. If the MAS is
running CICS 6.3 or 6.4, NSTK/NSPG will call method EYU0NSGR to
perform the action, passing a queue token for NSGR to use when
refreshing the affected TASK or PROGRAM records. If the request
is issued from the EUI or through an API SET, PERFORM SET, or
PERFORM OBJECT command that specifies the NOREFRESH operand, the
queue token passed to NSGR is invalid. This causes a failure in
NSGR when it attempts to validate the queue token (code added by
APAR PK00324), which is propagated back to NSTK/NSPG.

Problem conclusion

  • NSTK and NSPG have been updated to only pass a queue token to
NSGR when a refresh is required.

Comments

  • After applying PTF UK01994 for APAR
PK00324, action commands for the TASK
and PROGRAM view families issued from
the EUI against MASes running CICS 6.3
or 6.4 will fail, with the exception of
    the PROGRAM DISCARD action.

The failure received for TASK actions
    is:

      EYUEI0558E An internal error has
occurred. Method NSTK in <mas>: 2
      (EXCEPTION), 3 (METHOD_FAILED)

    The failure received for PROGRAM
    actions is:

      EYUEI0558E An internal error has
occurred. Method NSPG in <mas>: 2
      (EXCEPTION), 3 (METHOD_FAILED)

    Additionally, any similar action issued
from the CPSM API through the SET,
PERFORM SET, or PERFORM OBJECT commands
with the NOREFRESH operand will fail
with a RESPONSE of 1029 (FAILED) and a
    REASON of 1359 (EXCEPTION)

NSTK and NSPG have been updated to only pass a queue token to
NSGR when a refresh is required.
