Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICSPlex SM V3R1M0 Users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An abend AICA may occur in method * * EYU0XZPT (XZPT) during CMAS shutdown, * * or when communications to another CMAS * * is lost. * * * * Examination of the trace will show a * * debug text of EXCEPTIO and a point ID * * of 10. The calling method will be XLST. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this * * APAR, all CMASes must be recycled to pick * * up the new code. Note that the restarts * * do not need to be done at the same time. * **************************************************************** When a CMAS receives a Message Argument List (MAL) from another CMAS, EYU0XLST (XLST) is typically called to process the request. Once completed, XLST calls EYU0CAMR (CAMR) to return the results of the request to the originating CMAS and release the MAL. If the CAMR call fails, for example because communications to the originating CMAS is not available, XLST will call EYU0XZPT (XZPT) to create an exception trace entry. One of the parameters passed on the call from XLST to XZPT is the MAL. If CAMR released the MAL, residual storage may be used for the length of the MAL, causing a loop in XZPT if the length used is large.
Problem conclusion
XLST has been changed so that the MAL is not traced if the CAMR call fails.
