Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICSPlex/SM V3R1M0 Users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If a CPSM user issues EUI views OPERATE * * - TEMPSTOR - TSPOOL and Hyperlinks on * * the TSPOOL NAME field, message * * EYUEI0558E An internal error has * * occurred may be issued. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this * * APAR, all EUI users must restart their TSO * * ISPF session. * * WUI users must re-import the starter set * * since WUI view EYUSTARTTSPOOL was modified. * * The starter set viewsets and menus can be * * re-imported either via the AUTOIMPORTTDQ WUI * * server initialization parameter or the * * IMPORT function of the COVC WUI transaction. * * If COVC is used to re-import the starter * * set, ensure that the OVERWRITE import option * * is specified if the WUI server's repository * * previously contained that starter set * * viewsets and menus. * **************************************************************** The TSPOOL view displays fields for Pool Name, CICS System, and Connection Status. When an EUI user Hyperlinks on a Pool Name with a Connection Status of UNCONNECTED message EYUEI0558E is issued. EYU0NQRB (NQRB) produces exception trace EXCP 400 Debug BADSRESP records. The EYURNQGW (MAS Generic Receiver DSA Block) stack NQGW_EIBFN function code is 8012 (Inquire TSQNAME); NQGW_RESP is 00000072 ( 114 POOLERR ); NQGW_RESP2 is 00000003 ( The POOLNAME does not exist ). EYU0NQRB, at label ISSUE_INQ, checks the response and if bad, checks for ILLOGIC; otherwise calls BROWSE_FAIL. TSPOOL should not allow a Hyperlink to a pool name that is UNCONNECTED.
Problem conclusion
TSPOOL and WUI View EYUSTARTTSPOOL have been modified to perform a conditional check of the CONNSTAT value. If UNCONNECTED, no Hyperlink will occur. The EUI Help panel will be updated to reflect this new action.
