Error description

  • Allow CPSM TOR router to specify the WLM task load threshold
    percentage for determining link weight.
CPSM routing regions use an internally defined task load
threshold percentage for determining the CICS TOR-to-AOR
connection link weights. Users need to be able to specify the
WLM task load threshold within each routing region to have more
control over when a TOR will begin routing across LPARs.

    ****************************************************************
CPSM routing regions use an internally defined task load
percentage ((active tasks / maxtask) * 100) as part of the
determination for which target region to route to. This value,
65%, means that all target regions on the CEC where a routing
region resides must have a task load of 65% or higher before the
routing region will route to target regions on other CECs, if
all other health factors (for example, short-on-storage) for the
target regions are similar. Once all target regions on other
CECs achieve a task load of 65% or higher, the routing region
will resume routing to the target regions on the local CEC
again. Additionally, once a local target region's task load
drops below 65%, the routing region will resume routing to that
target region regardless of the task load in target regions on
    remote CECs.

Users need to be able to specify the WLM task load percentage
within each routing region to have more control over when a
routing region will begin routing across CECs.

Comments

  • A new EYUPARM, WLMLOADTHRSH, has been created. It can only be
specified for MASes and only has meaning in a MAS that is
defined as a CPSM workload manager routing region. This new
parameter allows sites to externally specify the target regions'
task load percentage which the routing region will include in
its routing decision. The default value for this new parameter
    is 65%.
