PK10918: WUI NEEDS A GLOBAL FILTER OPTION TO PRE FILTER VIEWS

Error description

• CPSM WUI users need to be able to set filters on a view before
  it is invoked to ensure the view does not attempt to return a
  large result set.  Users need a global filter confirmation
  for views.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:    When a user clicks on a menu item or *
  *                      view hyperlink, data is collected for   *
  *                      the target view and the display is ren- *
  *                      dered before the user has a chance to   *
  *                      specify desired filter parms.  This can *
  *                      result in long delays while data is     *
  *                      collected for the first display, even   *
  *                      if the user is only interested in a     *
  *                      subset of the data.                     *

  * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this    *
  *                 APAR, all WUI Servers must be recycled to    *
  *                 pick up the new code.  Note that servers     *
  *                 do not need to be restarted at the same      *
  *                 time.                                        *

  *                 If User Groups have been defined to set      *
  *                 default environmental parameters for one     *
  *                 or more sets of users, the User Editor       *
  *                 should be entered and existing User Group    *
  *                 objects should be updated to set the         *
  *                 Force Filter Confirmation flag as needed.    *

  Filter Confirmation is available as an option when defining a
  hyperlink in the View Editor, but there is no way to require
  filter confirmation, before collecting data, globally for all
  hyperlinks from menus or views.

•    This APAR adds a new EYUWUI parameter, GLOBALPREFILTER, and
  a new option in the User Group definition, Force filter confirm-
  ation, which require that the user enter or confirm filter parms
  before data is collected for any view.
