    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A logic error exists in method EYU0CPLT *
    *                      (CPLT) which may result in error        *
    *                      messages and a SDUMP during the         *
    *                      shutdown process.  The following        *
    *                      messages may occur while shutting down  *
    *                      a CMAS:                                 *

    *                      The messages are written to the         *
    *                      Console, JOBLOG, and the EYULOG. CMAS   *
    *                      shutdown does complete.                 *

    * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this    *
    *                 APAR, all CMASes must be restarted.  Note    *
    *                 that the restarts do not need to occur at    *
    *                 the same time.                               *
    ****************************************************************
    During the shutdown of a CMAS the LPLT transaction gets a
    timeout in method EYU0XSWX (XSWX) with a Response 5 and Reason
    131 (MCPL_KERR_TOUT).  Method EYU0CPLT (CPLT) gets the exception
    response and generates an exception trace with Debug text of
    CPLTEXCP and a Point-Id of 40 for the XSWX failure and ensures
    that we are not already in termination.  The termination ECB has
    not been posted resulting in the SDUMP and EYUCP0008E error
    messages being produced.
    

Problem conclusion

  • EYU0CPLT has been updated to additionally check if
    Communications termination is in progress.
