If a MAS is started that has not been defined to a CICSPlex then an SR0603 abend or AP0001 abend may occur after message EYUCL0112E is validly issued. . Typical messages include: . EYUCL0112E Protocol Services initialization unable to perform ICT Attach EYUCL0124E A failure occurred while attempting to connect to CMAS <cmasname> EYUCL0101E Protocol Services initialization failed DFHSR0603 <applid> Program interrupt has occurred DFHME0116 (Module:DFHMEME) CICS symptom string for message DFHSR0603 is PIDS/5655M1500 LVLS/640 MS/DFHSR0603 RIDS/DFHSRP PTFS/UK05645 . Instead of the SR0603, the following may occur instead: . EYUXL0905E <applid> ASRA IN CLTIM OFFSET 00000398 PSW= 078D6000 99880FECA .

Note that the * * restarts do not need to be done at the same * * time. * **************************************************************** EYU0CLTM (CLTM) is called to process communications termination. During processing in a MAS, CLTM will attempt to Freemain Link buffer storage via a call to EYU0XSCF (XSCF - Freemain). If communications initialization never completed successfully, for example because the MAS was not defined correctly to the CICSplex, CLTM may attempt to call XSCF in Access Register mode. The CICSPlex SM Kernel does not allow calls between methods in Access Register mode. If the Kernel detects that this rule is being broken, a program check is generated, causing the reported errors.
Problem conclusion
CLTM has been changed so that the call to XSCF is never made in Access Register mode.
