Error description
The COVG transaction is the Web User Interface ( WUI ) termination transaction. In a non WUI CICS region you have started transaction COVG in your CICS region using : START TRANS('COVG') TERMINAL('T001') FROM('AAAA'). This results in the termination of your CICS region. Internal checking by CICS should have prevented the start of COVG with a terminal. . Additional Symptom(s) and Keyword(s): EYUVS0004I CICSPLEX SM WEB USER INTERFACE TERMINATION COMPLETE DFHTM1715 CICS is being quiesced by userid CICSUSER in transaction COVG at netname ABCPM143.

Note that the restarts do * * not need to be done at the same time. * **************************************************************** COVG is normally started from EYU0VCTL or EYU0VKIT with data. When COVG starts, method EYU0VGIN is invoked. If no data was passed on the START command, VGIN signals an error and attempts WUI termination, which includes termination of the CICS region.
Problem conclusion
Added a new CPSM style eyecatcher (EYUBVGIN) and updated EYU0VCTL and EYU0VKIT to set this new eyecatcher when they issue the START FROM command. Updated EYU0VGIN to check for the new eyecatcher. EYU0VGIN will take a transaction dump and return if the eyecatcher is not correct.
