APAR status

Error description

• Trying to create a customized viewset for the CPSM WUI using the
  EYUSTARTEVENT viewset copied to your own viewset, you attempt to
  edit the TARGET of the link component.  In the screen "View Link
  Context and Scope Settings", when setting the scope settings to
  "use attribute value" and select "context(normal)" from the list
  of values and click OK, the link is actually saved with the
  attribute "context(hexadecimal)" instead of "context(normal)".
  From the same start point (TARGET of the link component)
  selecting "Filter attributes and parameters" to set a TASK
  filter, when setting the filter value of "use attribute value"
  (of the EVENT) and select KEY(NORMAL), this selection (as the
  one mentioned above), is saved as KEY(HEXADECIMAL).
  .
  The end result is that when trying to use the link, the scope
  settings are not set correctly and therefore the TASK details
  get a "no record found" response because the taskid inherited
  from the link is, for example 'F0F1F3F4F5'X, instead of 01345.

  The CICSPlex SM Web User interface uses 'virtual attribute
  types' to distinguish different representations of an
  attribute. For example a character field may have Normal,
  Advanced or Hexadecimal virtual attribute types. These
  different types control how the attribute is displayed
  or used in a view.
  
  Web User Interface Editor methods EYU0VE26 (View Link Context
  and Scope Settings) and EYU0VE2A (View Link Filter Settings)
  call a HTML generation method called EYU0VFXC. They pass the
  name of an attribute and its virtual attribute type.
  VFXC, will call a worker method EYU0VOBA to build an HTML
  selection list that pre-selects the passed attribute.
  
  Because VOBA is only checking the attribute name and not the
  attribute name and virtual attribute type, VOBA builds HTML
  for the selection list that has pre-selected all occurrences of
  the attribute. Depending on the web browser in use, the last
  occurrence of the value will be pre-selected. This may not be
  the value originally specified in the view definition. If the
  view is subsequently saved, the unexpected value is stored in
  the viewset.
  

Problem conclusion

• EYU0VOBA has been changed so that the virtual attribute type
  is processed. This ensures that the proper selection list value
  is pre-selected.
