Error description

  • PE15102-0606
After applying PK23760/UK15102, errors may occur when removing a
CICSplex or when removing a non-Maintenance Point (MP) CMAS from
the management of a CICplex. Note that the removal can be as
the result of a specific request through the EUI, API, or WUI,
or an automatic request initiated during CMAS Data Repository
    Synchronization.

The errors will occur when attempting to remove a CMAS from
management of the CICSplex if there are MASes for that CICSplex
connected to the CMAS at the time of removal.

    - This can be any CMAS that manages the CICSplex when the
process being performed is the removal of the CICSplex.

    - This must be the specific CMAS being removed when the process
being performed is the removal of a non-MP CMAS from the
       management of the CICSplex.

The CMAS which receives the error will issue message EYUCP0002E
indicating a "NetTop Import Failure" occurred in method "CPDP"
(EYU0CPDP). The text of the message will be similar to the
    following:

EYUCP0002E NetTop Import Failure for Connecting CMAS
                  <mpcmas>, Failure occured in CPDP.

This message may be preceded by message EYUXZ0910I indicating a
dump was taken. The dump title will be similar to the
    following:

      EYU0XZPT Dump,<cmasjobn>,<cmasname>,<lpar>,CMAS,LPLT,
      <tasknum>,TRAC, EYU0CPTI,<date>,<time>

Examination of the CMAS's auxtrace datasets will show the
following exception traces, with the specified trace point ID
    and debug text:

      Method TPID Debug text

    * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this *
    * APAR, all CMASes must be restarted. Note *
    * that the restarts do not need to occur at *
    *                 the same time.                               *
    ****************************************************************
When a request is made to remove a CICSplex or to remove a
non-MP CMAS from the management of a CICSplex, the request
should be rejected if there are MASes active for the CICSplex
under a CMAS that is being removed.

    - If the request is the removal of the CICSplex, method
EYU0CCCR (CCCR), running in the MP CMAS, calls method
EYU0CPBM (CPBM) to determine if there are any active MASes
for the CICSplex under any CMAS managing the CICSplex.

    - If the request is the removal of a non-MP CMAS from the
management of the CICSplex, method EYU0CPLT (CPLT) running
in the MP CMAS or method EYU0CCPD (CCPD) running in the
non-MP CMAS, calls method EYU0CPLU (CPLU) in the non-MP CMAS
to determine if there are any active MASes for the CICSplex
       connected to the non-MP CMAS.

In the update for PK23760/UK15102, methods CPBM and CPLU were
incorrectly changed such that they no longer report that MASes
are active. This allows the removal request to continue, where
eventually it will fail in the CMAS being removed that has MASes
    active.

Problem conclusion

  • CPBM and CPLU have been updated to correctly report if MASes are
    active for a CICSplex.
