Error description

You use the WUI interface to create a new User Group.  On the
definition screen, there are several fields you want to have
default to the values specified in your EYUWUI parms.  For
example, you do not specify values for the following fields

because you want the values from your DEFAULTCMASCTXT,
DEFAULTCONTEXT, and DEFAULTSCOPE to be used.

Once the group has been created, you then logon directly to the
WUI Server CICS region and use transaction COVC to export the
new user group. For the fields where values were not specified,
a single blank space (x'40') is exported.

If this exported data is then used as input on the same or
different WUI server, the single x'40' is not treated as a null
value, but an actual value, which is then padded with more
spaces.

When a user who is connected to that user group then tries to
logon to the WUI, the following fields are left blank, instead
of being filled in with the default values from the EYUWUI
parms:

Local Fix:
To correct this situation, after the user group has been
imported, use the WUI to edit the user group and re-save it.  No
values need be changed, but the act of re-saving it will let the
default values show up for the signed-on user.

associated with the group is to use the default for that field.
When the USERGRP is exported, the X'00's are converted to
X'40's.  When the USERGRP is imported into an EYUWREP, the
X'40's are retained.  When the USERGRP is used, the presence of
X'40's in fields results in blanks being used for the fields,
instead of the defaults.

Problem conclusion

Modules EYU0VIXX and EYU0VPNB have been updated to allow a field
to contain X'00's or X'40's to indicate that the default for
that field should be used.
