Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICSPlex/SM V3R1M0 Users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Sites cannot deactivate automatic * * refresh on a WUI server, nor can they * * prevent users from overriding a * * resource warning limit. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the fix for this APAR, all * * MASes which act as a Web User Interface * * (WUI) Server must be recycled to pick up the * * changed code. Note that all WUI servers do * * not have to be restarted at the same time. * **************************************************************** For a CICSPlex SM resource that is maintained within the CICSPlex SM Topology component the WUI provides support for warning limits. However, a user can bypass these limits. Add a new WUI system parameter called RESOURCELIMIT with allowed values WARNING and FAIL, which will enable sites to prevent users from being able to ignore the warning threshold. The default for this parameter is WARNING. Add a control to disable the automatic refresh option for a WUI server through a new system parameter called AUTOREFRESH with allowed values YES and NO. The default for this parameter is YES. When this is specified or defaulted, the Automatic refresh control will be shown, based upon the view definition. If NO is specified, the Automatic refresh control will not be shown, even when specified on the view definition.
Problem conclusion
Updated EYU0VHSM to setup the issuing of message EYUVC1258W or EYUVC1267E based upon the RESOURCELIMIT system parameter setting. Updated EYU0VHVC to render the Automatic refresh control based upon the AUTOREFRESH system parameter setting. Updated EYU0VKAJ to read the AUTOREFRESH and RESOURCELIMIT parameters and store their values in the EYUBVKAB (WUI Kernel Anchor Block). Updated EYU0VSPM to add the definitions for the AUTOREFRESH and RESOURCELIMIT system parameters. Updated EYUBVKAB to add two new bit settings for AUTOREFRESH and RESOURCELIMIT. Updated EYU0VISX to save the VWHA (HTTP analysis requests) buffer for a summary refresh of a child stub. Updated EYUEVGAR to add the following new error message: . EYUVC1267E Request denied as this action may produce a result set containing <n1> entries which exceeds the threshold of <n2>. After modifying the filters, click refresh to retry. . Updated EYUEVHVD to add vhvc_ok_cancel_tags3b as a new resource string for the CANCEL button, which is the only button that will be rendered when the EYUVC1267E message is issued. Removed from the tags for the OK and CANCEL button groups.
