PM02048: EYUVH0500E INTERNAL SERVER ERROR

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When users are logging into the WUI
  to display certain resource descriptions they get error message:

  EYUVH0500E Internal server error.
  .
  If they remove one particular CMAS from the Context,
  they can then view the resource.
  .

    EYU0VWRP calls EYU0VWRE as part of the process
  to put out a message. EYU0VWRE checks to make sure
  that all of the data will fit in the buffer for the message.

  The problem is that the buffer position and length have not
  been handed to EYU0VWRE correctly.  The current position
  points past the end of the buffer.

  * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this    *
  *                 APAR, all WUI servers must be restarted.     *
  *                 Note that the restarts do not need to occur  *

  When method EYU0VMTB (VMTB) adds messages to the HTML buffer to
  display WUI views, for example the message that indicates there
  are "x records on y pages.", it adds the message byte by byte.
  If the byte being added should be replaced with data (e.g., "x"
  and "y" in the above example), VMTB verfies that the data to be
  inserted will fit into the buffer, and if not, requests that
  method EYU0VWRE (VWRE) be called to expand the buffer.  However,
  if the byte being added is not to be replaced by insert data,
  VMTB does not verify if the move extends beyond the end of the
  buffer.
  

Problem conclusion

• VMTB has been updated to verify that all bytes being added for a
  message to the HTML buffer fit within the buffer.  If not, it
  will request that VWRE be called to expand the buffer.
