Error description
CICS TS 3.1 Application has tried to DPL to a program which should run in a CICS region currently down. The application recieved a PGMIDERR EIBRESP2 of 25 which is as expected. However, every attempt made by the application caused an abend in CPSM which issued the following for each DPL attempt: EYUXL0900I Starting Environment Recovery EYUXL0905E PCICS123 ASRA IN XCLO, OFFSET ???????? Note that the * * restarts do not need to occur at the same * * time. * **************************************************************** When abend compensation is active, and a transaction route request results in an abend in a target region, or had previously resulted in an abend in the target region but processes without abend now, then WDIN calls XCLO to update the abend compensation statistics for the target region. As part of this update, XCLO calls one of two different subroutines in WDIN to calculate the update value. The code processed in WDIN sets an invalid base register, causing a literal to be loaded from an invalid location. Depending upon the value loaded, this may cause the subroutines in WDIN to abend ASRA/0CC, or result in an invalid updating of the abend compensation statistics for the transaction.
Problem conclusion
Method EYU0WDIN (WDIN) has been updated to correctly set the base registers in the subroutines called by method EYU0XCLO (XCLO) to calculate the abend compensation statistics.
