APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• On z/OS the Bean Validation service is not always available in
  the Adjunct region of the server.  This can cause the resource
  adapter to not take advantage of Bean Validation when running
  in the Adjunct region.
  adjunct log shows:
  source=com.ibm.ejs.j2c.metadata.BeanValidationHelper
  org=IBM prod=WebSphere component=Application Server
  thread=[main]
  BeanValidatio E   J2CA1004E: RAR Bean Validation has been
  disabled, because the BeanValidationService is unavailable.
  Validation constraints of RAR JavaBean instances will not be
  validated before the instances are placed into service.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  The adjunct server log will show an error of "J2CA1004E: RAR
  Bean Validation has been disabled, because the
  BeanValidationService is unavailable."
  

Problem conclusion

• Enabled the Bean Validation service to startup in the adjunct
  region when needed by a resource adapter.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.15, and 9.0.0.10  Please refer to the
