APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• NullPointerException occurs when nameInRepository is not set
  in wimconfig.xml. This is what is seen in the failing
  wimconfig.xml:
  <config:baseEntries name="dc=ibm,dc=com"/>
  It should look like this:
  <config:baseEntries name="dc=ibm,dc=com"
  nameInRepository="dc=ibm,dc=com"/>
  

Local fix

• Will have the customer add the nameInRepository manually.
  This can be done in the admin console under Global security >
  Federated repositories > dc=cat,dc=com
  Check the box that says "Distinguished name in the repository
  is different" but put in  the same base entry, dc=cat,dc=com

Problem conclusion

• NullPointerException no longer occurs when nameInRepository is
  not set. nameInRepository will default to baseEntry name.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.16 and 9.0.5.0.  Please refer to the Recommended
