Problem summary

    Due to a programming error in the IBM JSF Portlet Bridge, an
    NPE occurs when the application uses a JSP instead of an XHTML
    facelet.
    

Problem conclusion

  • It should be noted that use of JSPs instead of facelets
    for the view is back-level JSF technology and is supported for
    compatibility reasons only. Customers should be encouraged to
    move their applications to facelet technology.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 9.0.5.0.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
