APAR status

Error description

• Problem was reported with Apache web server version 2.4.6 and
  WebSphere Plug-in 9.0.0.9 and using non-IBM vendor
  module mod_hpfilter2.4.
  
  Previous version of Apache 2.2 web server using the same non-IBM
  vendor module with the Plug-in software works as expected.
  

Local fix

• Comment out the module mod_hpfilter2.4 from the httpd.conf file

Problem conclusion

• It appears that mod_hpfilter2.4 has defined an internal macro
  called "trim" which duplicates the name of an internal module
  used by WebSphere's apache module and this causes the crash to
  occur. WebSphere's plugin module has changed its macro name to
  a unique name to prevent this issue.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.16 and 9.0.5.0.  Please refer to the
