Error description

  • Environment:
    WSAS Base 8.5.5.15
    Java 1.8 (with Java 1.8 at either 8.0.5.27 level, or 8.0.5.35).
    OS : Linux
    
    If Admin console is accessed first and then client accesses
    their application, the
    java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException occurs, when
    attempting to view Application or Server status.
    And
    SRVE0232E Internal Server error is seen when attempting to
    access Admin Console after accessing client application

    When trying to access the Administrative Console, a
    StringIndexOutOfBoundsException occurs, causing a SRVE0232E:
    Internal Server Error to be displayed in the console.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code was updated to resolve the
    java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException from occurring, when
    the Administrative Console is accessed.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.5.5.16 and 9.0.5.1.  Please refer to the Recommended
    Updates
