Error description

Calling WebSphere Optimized Local Adapters (WOLA) services
BBOA1SRV or BBOA1GET from a CICS region which is configured
with TRANISO=YES and STGPROT=YES results in a RC=8 RSN=98.
WebSphere supplied programs BBOACSRV and BBOACLNK may also
report RC=8 and RSN=98.

WebSphere Optimized Local Adapters (WOLA) client services will
check that any storage buffer passed for request or response
data is valid.  The validity check incorrectly rejects buffers
sent from a CICS region that is configured to run with
TRANISO=YES ans STGPROT=YES.

Problem conclusion

Code was added to check the validity of buffers sent from a
CICS region configured with TRANISO=YES and STGPROT=YES.

APAR PI04920 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Pack
8.0.0.8 and 8.5.5.2 of WebSphere Application Server for z/OS.
