Error description

• With Liberty Profile on IBM i, classes are not loaded from a
  web module if the path to the .class file or .jar file contains
  a symbolic link and the target of the symbolic link does not
  have a web module directory structure (files not under
  .../WEB-INF/classes or .../WEB-INF/lib).

  Classpath issues will be seen on IBM i where classes are not
  loaded from a web module if the path to the .class file or
  .jar file contains a symbolic link and the target of the
  symbolic link does not have a web module directory structure.
  

Problem conclusion

• When searching for a file that is contained in a symbolic link
  on IBM i a utility that was used to check the case of a
  discovered file did not correctly account for a path starting
  with a "/" character as paths on iSeries do.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.2. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page
