Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server Liberty Profile version * * 8.5.5 collectiveController-1.0 feature. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A restarting replica in a multiple * * replica set, may be unable to * * apply data updates to itself, * * resulting in the replica not * * fully starting. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A restarting replica in a multiple replica set, may be unable to apply data updates to itself as it does not recognize these updates as new work. The result is that the replica does not fully start. The 6011I message that states the collective controller is ready and can accept requests, is never logged as the replica never achieves this state.
Problem conclusion
Modified the logic to ensure the data updates are seen as new items to process and therefore will be completed. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.2.
