Error description

• Criteria API generated queries may improperly generate
  INNER JOINs instead of LEFT OUTER JOINs as specified by the
  model constructed by Criteria API.

  A problem with OpenJPA's Criteria API processor creates an inner
  join, instead of the left outer join requested in the query
  graph
  constructed by the application.  This leads to an incorrect
  query
  result.
  

Problem conclusion

• The Criteria API processor has been fixed to correctly use left
  outer joins when programmatically requested by the application
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.2.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
