APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• This is a different occurrence of the problem described in
  PM78745.
  On application start, annotation processing consumes memory
  until Out Of Memory condition.  Heap Dump analysis will show
  very large LinkedList right off the root of the heap tree that
  appear to be holding
  com/ibm/ws/ecs/internal/info/impl/DelayedClassInfo
  objects

  When scanning classes for annotations, the scanning code
  will follow an inheritance loop until an out-of-memory
  condition occurs. For example, the customer application
  has class A which inherits from class B which
  inherits from class A.  This is similar to APAR PM74785, but a
  different part of the code is following the infinite loop in
  the application's class hierarchy.
  

Problem conclusion

• The code has been updated to check for inheritance loops.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix packs 8.0.0.9 and 8.5.5.2.  Please refer to the
