APAR status

Error description

• When the server is started with database session persistence
  enabled, the following information message appears in
  messages.log:
  J2CA8050I: An authentication alias should be used instead of
  defining a user name and password on
  com.ibm.ws.jdbc.dataSource-SessionDS/properties-0.
  
  If an authentication alias is used instead of defining a user
  name and password on the data source, an error occurs. For a
  DB2 database, the error looks like:
  [jcc][t4][10205][11234][4.13.127] Null userid is not
  supported. ERRORCODE=-4461, SQLSTATE=42815 DSRA0010E: SQL
  State = 42815, Error Code = -4,461

  The Session Manager requires database authentication data to
  be defined directly in the data source properties instead of
  optionally allowing the user name and password to be defined
  in an authentication alias.
  

Problem conclusion

• The Session Manager was updated to allow container managed
  authentication through an authentication alias defined in the
  server configuration.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.2. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
