Error description

• When the assisted life-cycle support for Liberty profile
  update is applied to an existing profile, the profile is
  not automatically updated with the required configuration.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The Liberty profile servers can not     *

  *                      Console after applying the update for   *
  *                      the assisted life-cycle Liberty         *
  *                      profile servers.                        *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  The assisted life-cycle support for Liberty profile
  update did not apply the correct profile update actions
  required to start the Liberty profile server through the
  Administrative Console. The missing WebSphere environment
  variables WLP_INSTALL_DIR, WLP_USER_DIR and WLP_OUTPUT_DIR
  prevent the Admininstrative Console from starting the Liberty
  profile servers.
  

Problem conclusion

• The correct profile update actions required to start the
  Liberty profile server through the Administrative Console have
  now been applied.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.2.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
  page for delivery information:
