Error description

• Currently, the grid container is using unshared connections
  during transactions. Because connections are not released
  until the end of a transaction, this is causing contention for
  connections, leading to a drop in performance and in some
  cases, deadlock.

  The grid endpoint experiences a drop in performance or
  deadlock on connections during a period of heavy load.
  

Problem conclusion

• The grid container is using unshared connections during
  transactions.  Because connections are not released until the
  end of a transaction, this is causing contention for
  connections, leading to a drop in performance and in some
  cases, deadlock.
  This fix introduces a Websphere variable,
  "GRID_ENDPOINT_USE_SHARED_CONNECTIONS".  If not specified,
  the default value is false.  The variable should be created at
  the cell level and set to true to use shared connections on the
  endpoint.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.2.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
