Error description
The ISA DC scripts bundled with Liberty Profile currently look for ISA DC as follows: WAS_ISADC_DIR=${WLP_INSTALL_DIR}/../lib/was-isadc Users should be allowed to set the WAS_ISADC_DIR to some location of their choosing by way of setting the environment variable before they launch the script.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server Liberty Profile * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Liberty Profile isadc.bat/sh script * * does not work as expected as ISADC * * script directory might not exist. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Liberty Profile isadc script refers to a relative directory as its ISADC script directory which might not exist if you have not explicitly downloaded it.
Problem conclusion
To fix the incorrect reference of the core Liberty Profile isadc script we need to do the following steps 1- Launch the following URL in your browser to download the IBM Support Assistant Data Collector script. http://public.dhe.ibm.com/software/isa/isadc/2.0/isacoreweb/2.0. 1/isadc/lang/en/index.html?taxonomy=LibertyProfile 2- Select the option this or another system using a downloadable utility from I want to collect from: option(This option allows you to download an ISA Data Collector zip package which can be transferred to another system also) 3- Select the check box for ' I accept the terms in the license agreement'. 4- Unzip it to your local directory and make sure the path does not contain the path like: C:/LibertyProfile_2.0.0(1). The correct path would be C:/LibertyProfile_2.0.0. 5- Create a <liberty_home>/etc/server.env text file and create a variable called WAS_ISADC_DIR=<your downloaded isa data collector script location directory where isadc.bat/sh resides. 6- Now Always run the script isadc.bat/sh from the Liberty_installation_dir/bin directory. 7- Input the standard value to the invoked collector script and get the zip of the collected data. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.2.
