    ****************************************************************
    Add a new syntax type named GUID for external Id attribute in
    Federated Repsitory

Problem conclusion

  • We introduce support for new syntax type GUID. To apply this
    fix, you need to configure the externalId mapping with the
    GUID syntax using the following wsadmin CLI

    $AdminTask addIdMgrLDAPExternalIdAttr { -id
    <LDAP_Repository_ID> -name objectGUID -syntax GUID }
    $AdminConfig save

    And add an environment property tag manually in ldapServers
    tag configured in Microsoft AD LDAP repository in the
    wimconfig.xml file.
    <config:environmentProperties
    name="java.naming.ldap.attributes.binary" value="objectGUID"/>

    After adding the property the configuration will looks like
    the following:
    <config:ldapServers authentication="simple"
    bindDN="cn=administrator,cn=users"..>
              ...
       <config:environmentProperties
    name="java.naming.ldap.attributes.binary" value="objectGUID"/>
    </config:ldapServers>

    Restart WebSphere Application Server.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.0.0.9 and 8.5.5.3. Please refer to the Recommended
