Error description

• Blueprint bundles fail to start if a JPA
  persistent-unit is defined with the
  org.apache.aries.jpa.provider.version property.
  
  OSGi JPA Bundle fails with the error: Unable to start blueprint
  container for bundle <bundle name> due to unresolved
  dependencies.

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Setting a version range in the JPA      *
  *                      provider version property stops the     *

  Specifying a version range for the
  org.apache.aries.jpa.provider.version caused a
  NoSuchMethodError to occur in the OSGi applications JPA code.
  

Problem conclusion

• The OSGi applications JPA code has been updated to correctly
  process version ranges.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5.3.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
