A ClassCastException occurs within a generated stub method:

java.lang.ClassCastException:
org.omg.stub.java.rmi._Remote_Stub cannot be cast to
com.ibm.example.TestEJB
at com.ibm.example._TestEJBHome_Stub.create(...)

*                      occur in stubs generated by the         *
*                      Enterprise Java Bean (EJB) container.   *

The stubs generated by the EJB container do not pass class
constants to the org.omg.CORBA.InputStream classes, so the
Object Request Broker (ORB) is not required to return objects
of a specific type.  If the ORB returns an instance of a
supertype and the stub attempts to cast the object to a
subtype then a ClassCastException will be thrown.

Problem conclusion

The EJB container has been changed to pass class constants to
the org.omg.CORBA.InputStream.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.33, 8.0.0.9, and 8.5.5.3.  Please refer to the
